At Repairing Trauma, we are championing HOPE that you can recover from childhood trauma.
We want to raise awareness, help educate and provide you the tools to help you create a life that heals you. We know that sometimes you need someone alongside you to help you figure things out.
We want to take away for you the time, energy, stress and overwhelm that is involved in seeking the most appropriate way forward.
We champion you.
We champion those helping someone they care about to recover.
Recovery is not easy. We get it.
However, not only is it possible to recover, you can thrive. You can achieve anything you set your mind to. We help guide your way and focus on what's possible through Individual Personal Development and Coaching sessions and Family Support Sessions. We 'slow down to speed up' to spend the time with you to truly understand.
You carers, friends, and family members need that too. We specialise in Therapeutic Parenting and Mentoring Support for parents/carers/friends.
We support you through a mixture of listening, teaching, coaching, and reflecting on what is right for you. We care to create safe, meaningful spaces where there is no judgement. You share only what feels comfortable. We utilise a wellbeing lifestyle approach - it's the little changes everyday that lead to the big ones.
No need is too small.
We offer a free 30 minute 'chemistry session' to see if our offer feels right for you.
Alternatively, pop us a message on the socials or an email and we are happy to chat with you to see if we can help.
At Repairing Trauma we slow things down to make sense of them. We believe that pause makes a big difference.
Our Trauma Recovery Focussed Assessment utilises a therapeutic approach that focuses on understanding and addressing problems within the full context of your past and current experiences, within relationships and systems; rather than solely focusing on current individual behaviours or symptoms. We identify patterns using an open curious mindset to develop ideas about what would help. It's trauma centric in that we focus on assessing the key elements of how you recovery from trauma.
Our assessments are designed to be an intervention in themselves in that sessions encourage you to think differently toward change being possible from the outset.
The assessment, or part of it, can be provided to those that need to understand your history so that you don't have to keep repeating your story. We are used to writing therapeutic letters, advocating for your needs where needed.
We are very much 'alongside' you in our approach. We will check with you what feels comfortable and if it's ok to explore things in your own time at a depth you are comfortable with.
Importantly assessments aren't written in a complicated way - they are accessible, succinct, jargon free and focussed to be reflective of our initial time together. We don't need to know 'everything' in order to create change, we need to know enough to take action. We also don't provide a shopping list of interventions or recommendations which is overwhelming, we focus on manageable change. Small steps build up! As we continue our work together our approach blends assessment and support but it should never feel like you're being 'assessed'.
Anyone with a trauma history will benefit hugely from such an assessment which becomes the spine, the compass, and the road map forward in your life.
We are currently developing a trauma recovery training programme aimed to equip and empower you to create a life that's heals you. This is ideal if you want the information to consider and process in your own time in your own way. The aim also that the people you meet become a community around you.
We work alongside organisations, Charities, and Local Authorities who have specific needs around the assessment and/or support around childhood trauma recovery.
